From June 14th to 21st, Boí Taüll hosted the Spanish Paragliding Cross Country Championship 2025, a high-level competition that gathered 125 pilots:
120 ♂ , 5 ♀, representing 15 different countries.
This event stood out not only for its technical quality but also for its international atmosphere and the camaraderie among participants.
Due to my experience in preparing this type of paragliding competition, I collaborated in the organization of the event, and «Fly with Xirli» has also been a Sponsor.
From the very first safety briefing at the Barruera sports hall, the organization conveyed confidence, clear communication, and a solid action plan adapted to the ever-changing weather conditions that shaped the first few days.
Paragliding briefing consists of convening a briefing or training session before a PARAGLIDING TASK, and consists of providing crucial information to pilots, such as weather conditions, race details, safety rules, and procedures.
Paragliding equipment preparation involves meticulously reviewing the process to ensure that each piece of equipment is properly assembled. From thorough checks of harness and sail connections to verifying the correct configuration of devices such as trackers and variometers, this chapter guarantees that the pilots can carry out the race safely.
Each day, before the task, pilots took the time to carefully prepare their flying gear, ensuring everything was ready for safety and optimal performance in the air. This daily routine was essential, offering a moment of focus before taking off into the Pyrenean skies.
Trackers are devices issued to pilots and used to track their location in real-time. Paragliding pilots carry them with them so that organizers and spectators can follow their progress and location during the race.
Safety was a top priority. Pilots were required to carry two tracking devices (Flymaster and Volandoo), and organizers ensured all tracking data and CIVL IDs were correctly configured. This double system provided complete monitoring of each flight.
Each task refers to specific challenges that pilots must complete during the race. These tasks involve flying to designated checkpoints in the sky or hitting specific targets in a given time. The tasks challenge the skill and dexterity of the pilots.
Official tasks started on Monday, June 16th. Designed with care and adapted to both the weather and the terrain of the Boí Valley, these tasks were technical, with clear goals and multiple route options to take advantage of each day’s conditions.
Task is open refers to the moment when the race or challenge in a paragliding competition begins. It is the time when pilots can begin performing the designated task, flying to checkpoints, or completing set objectives. It is a crucial moment that marks the beginning of the competition and the opportunity for pilots to demonstrate their skills.
Each task was launched with clear communication via official channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, and in-person briefings). Weather updates, waypoint files, maps, and flight strategies were shared in real time. The dedicated meteorology team played a key role in decision-making throughout the event.
Good vibes refers to the positive, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere among the pilots, creating a pleasant social environment.
Despite challenging weather at times, the atmosphere among pilots remained positive and fun. Jokes, good humor, and shared moments created a relaxed and friendly vibe throughout the week.
At the end of the competition, the week’s winners are awarded prizes. It’s a time to honor the outstanding pilots in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The awards ceremony recognized the pilots’ talent and efforts while also thanking the volunteers, clubs, and sponsors who made the event possible. At «Fly With Xirli», we are proud to be one of the official sponsors, thus reaffirming our commitment to the promotion and development of paragliding.
The success of the championship would not have been possible without the dedication and effort of the team. From the initial planning to the execution of the event, each member of the team played a crucial role in ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

If weather conditions are not good enough to do the activity on the agreed day I will propose 2 options:
Otherwise, if weather conditions are good on the agreed day but you can’t do the activity after you make your payment, I will not return your payment because my team and I can’t work for any other client on the day booked by you.
Payment options, only in EUROS:
CASH PAYMENTS: There are no additional charges for cash payments.
CREDIT CARD: For payments made by credit card, an additional fee of 2% for bank commissions applies.
The commission is not refundable for order cancellations since the bank charges the processing and management expenses incurred from the moment of the transaction.
