A family looking for things to do family. Get ready to fly in a hot air balloon 🎈 in La Cerdanya We have only one day to fly in a balloon, so we choose La Cerdanya because it is the best area, according to the weather forecasts for that day.
In winter it dawns later than in summer. My clients are staying in Barcelona. So I pick them up at 6 am and we travel to La Cerdanya. We arrived at our destination shortly before 8:30 am.

The pilots prepare the balloon. At 9 am the wind on the ground is 2 km per hour, and the balloon begins to fly.
The balloon gains altitude, rising to 2,000 meters above sea level, and the gentle west wind, up to 17 km per hour, moves us throughout the valley, changing the views from the sky.
If you want to fly in a hot air balloon around Barcelona, you have to get up early, because the balloon flight takes place early in the morning, when there is no wind. We need very little wind speed to fly, as both takeoff and landing are better controlled if there is no wind.
This fantastic family sees the sunrise from the balloon. The landscape of La Cerdanya seen from the air is very beautiful and the flight is very relaxing.
After more than 1 hour of travel, we landed in the town of Age. When we finish the flight, my clients receive a document that certifies that they have flown and the pilots offer us some bags with cookies, and juices and open a bottle of CAVA to celebrate that we have flown.
At 10:30 am after hot ari balloon rides we leave the Cerdanya area by car, and head to the town of Ribes de Freser, with the intention of visiting the sanctuary located in the Núria valley.
We arrive at the parking lot of the rack railway station that will take us to the Núria Valley, located 2,000 meters above sea level.
We visited the Vall de Nuria hostel, we also saw the sanctuary. We had something to eat and enjoyed a leisurely walk around the area.
When the sun goes down, we decide to take the rack railway back to the car and head back to Barcelona. We arrive at Barcelona at 9 pm. It has been an intense day, more than 15 hours in a row doing activities, and it has been worth it.
I drop you off at your accommodation and return home satisfied, happy to have made this lovely family spend an unforgettable day.
